Bought a new Keystone 2011 Retreat. It has leaked since the day we purchased it.

We have had it in for repairs three times and the leaks keep showing up. The front overhang was covered with black mold when the valance was removed. This was after the repairs were supposebly made. Keystone told us it was our fault because we did not replace the caulking around the front end of the trailer.

They told me that even though it was leaking from the start it was our responsiblity and when it came out of the repair shop it was only guaranteed for for 90 days. This trailer was in storage. It was not being hauled down the road at 60 miles an hour. It was sitting in storage one mile from where it was repaired.

How the caulking could be an issue after only 90 days is beyond me.

I was told by an ex quailty control person that Keystone doesn't care about quality and they do not stand behind their products. It seems to be true in this case.

I have a 2010 Keystone Retreat park model and it's not a question of does it leak, it's in how many places does it leak. Two slides, both doors and a window. Total crap quality.

We had the same issue with the front over hang or bulkhead. The issue is not a leaking problem but rather a severe condensation problem due to the lack of insolation and vapor barrier in the bulkhead.

I have added insolation and vapor barrier to the warm side and the problem has been completely eliminated.

We bought a 2003 Keystone Sprinter 303 BH and right from the beginning we had leak issues around our slide out. We brought it back to the dealer several times, being shown random items as the cause, such as a pine cone.

The problem never went away, as a result I explored on my own trying to find the cause, without success. We would slide our slideout and the carpet would be wet. Our caulking has never been neglected, nor our roof. Thanksgiving we took it out after about a 6 month rest, to a flopping wall.

The moisture above the slide finally built up enough and the wall paper gave way, our entire header is like saw dust, it's so bad, black mold, a real mess. I'm sure it's been going on since we purchased the camper. We contacted our insurance company that estimated repairs to be 5-6 thousand dollars, and they denied the claim siting lack of maintenance, that we must not have caulked regularly. Because I don't have service records indicated regular caulking, no proof...no coverage.

Our RV dealer was an hour away, would keep our camper for months and every time we got it back we'd have items stolen! One time, our flat screen TV and Wilkie talkies. Had I known the severity of this, I would have traded this piece of *** in for another brand!! I will NEVER own another Keystone product, what good is a camper that is in the shop more than it's in a camp ground?!

No one wants a luxury item they can't play with!! :x
