I have a Keystone Montana Rv and it is 5 years old. It has an aluminum frame (which according the brochures is much better construction)". When it was less than one year old, they had to repair the fiberglass under warranty/. Apparently Fun Time Rv where I bought it, did not bother to find out the underlying problem that made it crack.. They just bond-o it and pained over it/. Now 4 years later the crack is back in the exact same place.. Both Keystone & Fun time told me it is not their problem.. When i took it to a repair shop locally, they found that the aluminum welds broke on it,. According to Keystone, too bad, the warranty is only for a year on that.. If you are thinking about buying an RV, I would look for one that has a better warranty on the construction, and if it has problems when it is still under warranty i would make the dealer tear it down to find the underlying problem instead of a patch job. 127eb2b

I purchased a 2008 Keystone Cougar from Crestview RV in Georgetown, Texas in December 2008. I came here to Texas in September when I was notified my son had been injured in Iraq. I sold my newmar Kountry Aire and downsized to save expenses while here. I went to Crestview and was impressed with their sales staff. But little did I know, I would soon find out what their managements true colors were.

I have no problems with their Service Department nor the service managers as they have always been good to us and always did their best. But when you need to try to get problems solved with the high nanagement! Forget It!

They really want to sell you a trailer but when there is major problems.....You are stuck with your lemon. When the weather started warming up, my new trailer began to have a gagging eye burning, chest compression odor. Airing out did no good. One night at 1 am, I found myself not being able to breath. I was having an asthma attack and I do not have atshma. I had to crawl out of bed on my hands and knees and crawl outside where I laid on the grass trying to catch my breath. This trailer was totally unlivable.

I took it to the shop where they tried to find mold, but no leaks externally nor enternally. All they can think it is is the gasas from the glue. This surprises me because the sides of the trailer I have been told are compressed and all air taken out. They said the only thing they can do is to use a machine to clean the air which is also suppose to pull these odors out. When I asked them if it was 100 percent effective, of course the answer was no. I went to talk with higher management to ask them what they would do if it continues and their response was "Well I will never buy your trailer back!"

So they can't guarantee me I will be safe, and if it continues i will have to pay for a trailer i will not beable to use. I am already having signs of flormaldahyde poisoning including sores appearing on my legs. But if my health is going to continue to be in jeapordy, what do they care?

They never disclosed that Keystone has had many complaints about high levels of flomaldahyde in their trailers which they were suppose to fix but never have. They also never told me Keystone built alot of the FEMA trailers that were affecting people. If I had known I would have gotten something else.
