Boy were we duped. Not only did our RV come with serious leaks from the shower, toilet and kitchen sink, it had a myriad of other problems. (Severely damaged tables, defective sofa cushions, broken window blind, incorrect television and sound system wiring, generator exhaust not installed to code and many others. Other problems, including an electrical problem that could have caused a fire, perhaps killing us up in our sleep my husband fixed himself. We were told we were overloading our circuit breaker by having a light on and the microwave at the same time by a factory authorized service technician. Really?)
Anyway, we've had to push and prod for most of these to be fixed, and most have. However, one very serious problem continues to plague us. The floor is like a trampoline. It is so spongy that when we sit at the kitchen table we must hold our beverage glasses when someone walks by the table. It is like a mattress or trampoline the way it bounces up and down, spilling our beverages.
The dealer from whom we purchased the unit, has factory authorized warranty repair services. Their service manager told us this was a "normal" condition. "Designed in" because the floor can't handle the "stresses" of travel on the road". This is completely untrue - no other manufacturer's units have a spongy floor design/. In fact, nothing on Keystone's website touts "we have a spongy floor by great design!"
No, rather they claim to have the highest industry quality construction.. We have been asking for a manager at the company to contact us since May 2011/. To date, we have not even gotten an e-mail.. They did authorize repairs - but will not require any of their authorized service centers to actually do the repair!. We are at our wits end".
We are inviting any other Keystone owners with similar stories to join us, as we fight for our rights in this situation|. We also hope no one else will have this struggle and recommend all consumers stay away from Keystone products. 127ebee
