Information to help the next guy… and hopefully someone from keystone reads this

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Do not buy keystone products if you expect to use your trailer to camp I have had issues with the trailer and the dealer (camping world) were I bought it. I had them tell me to bring my trailer in to look at the ac and the back splash because the first time I took it out the ac quit working and the back splash started peeling.

Plus some trim was coming off and a shelf came apart in the pantry closet.

So I took it in. They claimed they fixed it by putting silicone over the top and they said the ac wasnt working because the freeze stat came out of the coil which is crap. So the next camping trip after they so called fixed it once again I did not have ac. So I took it back to drop it off and the guy I talked to said bring it back so I took it in I live 2 hrs from the dealership.

They would not take it after telling me to bring it in.

This was in September and they told me it would be December before they could get to it I bought the trailer brand new at the end of June and used it in July and august and the ac never worked right.

So I took it to crestview and they fixed it after having it for several months

Dont buy keystone products and dont buy from camping world. They sell to you and then dont back up what they sell.

Its been great making payments on a camper for months with no camper to useI did get my camper back at the end of June if you were wondering.

Now keystone said they were going to work to reimburse me but then they only approved one payment after months of trying to get my camper fixed and get some reimbursement but they only want to make one payment.

Bought 2022 Keystone Hideout that leaks and RV one told me that I will have to wipe up water every I close the camper.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

To Whom it may concern;

I am contacting you in hope that I will be able to get some assistance on a Keystone camper that we purchased from one of your facilities. My husband and have been looking for a bigger camper. We found one that we like and it was at your New Hampshire facility. Went there and looked at the camper on 2/27/22. We made a deal with a salesman there. We had a 2019 Cherokee Wolf Pup to trade in. The salesman said that there was nobody from finance there and they would call us in a couple of days to get the paperwork completed. He advised that we would have a demo walk thru and be on our way. He advised that if we do not hear from anyone by Wednesday 3/2/22 to call him and he will see what is going on.

We did not hear from anyone so I called the salesman on his cell number that he gave us. He advised that it was his day off and I could either call the office myself and find out what is going on or he will do it when he gets back on Thursday. I called the office and was told that we would not be able to go there and get the paperwork done until 3/7/22 because the service department was straight out. We went to this facility on 3/7/22 signed all the paperwork and went thru the demo on the camper. There were somethings that needed to be addressed the dinette table top had a big scratch all the way across it, one of the side tables had black marks and scratches on that also. They cleaned up the side table and switched the table top with another one and we were on our way with our new camper and the older camper was signed over the them.

We got half way home and it started pouring rain. When we got home we were very excited to open our camper and enjoy what we just spent over $25K on. We got everything set up and we were checking everything out when I noticed that there was a puddle of water on the floor by the bump out. So we started to look around and found that it was coming from the bump out and it was coming into the camper. We brought the bump out in and as we were doing that the tracks that are on the side of the bump out were pouring water in the camper and on to the floor.

As you know the campers are not made to have running water coming in as they will damage very easily and cause mold and rot. We call the office and was told that it was probably just water on top of the bump out and it came in when we closed the bump out. We got very upset that they would suggest that this was normal or no big deal. We asked that they send someone out to fix it. They told us no they don't do that. We disconnected the call. My husband get a step latter and looked at the bump out and found that there was wads of white caulking on the roof and the weather stripping.

My husband brought the camper back down to your facility the next day and explained everything to them. They said they will look it over and fix it and call my husband when it was ready for pick up. They called the next day for pick up. My husband came back and they had it closed up and said you are ready to go. My husband went in and checked out the camper and found that they had damaged the dinette seat and there was *** in the weather stripping that was big enough to be visible at a glance. This was the outside weather stripping. The Service person said that it would not make the bump out leak and they would order another one to replace it. My husband went into the camper and found another puddle of water on the floor. My husband got very upset and the service manager told him that we will just have to wipe up water every time we use the bump out. My husband told him that is not going to happen. We just spent over $25K on a camper and we will not be wiping up water ever time we use the bump out. My husband asked to speak to someone else and the service manager told him NO. Nobody knows more about this then him. My husband refused to take the camper because it was not fixed and they caused damage to as well.

My husband called the finance person we dealt with and he gave us the name Merwin Delano. My husband called him and left 3 messages with out any response. Mr. Delano finally called at 6:15pm to discuss the problem. Mr. Delano apparently spoke to the service manager and was not made aware of all of the concerns and issues that were taking place. Mr. Delano said that he would look into it and get back to us.

We have not heard back from Mr. Delano.

We previously owned a 30ft Keystone Hideout and loved. We never had any issues or concerns with it. We still do not have our camper and we do not know what is being done. NOBODY from this facility has been easy to work with or professional.

We understand what it is like to deal with the public, we deal with hundreds of people daily in our lines of work. We have not been unreasonable when speak to anyone at this facility. All we want is the camper that we paid for to work properly and not be told that we have to settle for damages and things that do not work properly.

I hope that this email does not fall on deaf ears. I have purchased a camper that was defective and now I believe that it is just being bandaged up so that I will take it and go away. I am not confident that this camper will be right.

Today is Friday and have not heard from anyone on the camper. If they do not resolve this I will need to try to resolve this in a different manner. I am not willing to pay over $25K for a camper that is damaged and not right.

Thank you for your time. I hope to hear from someone on my concerns.

Sincerely,

Pamela and Andrew Laliberte

Keystone is a JOKE! They advised me that they sold the camper the the dealership and they are not responsible for what the dealership said.

I advised the it is their product with their name on it. They did not own anything. They created a camper that is going to leak because of the flawed design. But do think they would own up to anything.

NO WAY. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM KEYSTONE BECAUSE THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY. THEY WILL TAKE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM YOU AND THEN TELL YOU IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM. Contacting the BBB and the AG office in my state.

DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! DO NOT BUY FROM KEYSTONE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE. THEIR WILL ARGUE WITH YOU THAT ITNIS NOT THEOR FAULT.

RV ONE IS THE DEALERSHOP I DEALT WITH.

DO NOT GO THERE EITHER. THEY ARE COMPLETE IDIOT'S FOR SERVICE OR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Our RV Flooded on Day 1

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

In Feb. 2022 my husband and I purchased a new 2022

Keystone Arcadia RV for $69,000.

Delivery on 2/11/22; we went to fill our water tanks on 2/25/22 and within 25 minutes our entire RV flooded with water. We shut off the hose attached to the outside of the camper and rushed to soak up the water spanning from under the bed, closets, down the stairs, into the living room & bathroom. The first problem was that the water tank never registered; saying the tank was empty the entire time. Our main reason for this complaint, is that the manufacturer never tunneled the overflow water tube to go outside the camper.

Instead it was laid the

under the bed, with nowhere for the water to go except onto the floor. It flooded our unit. Not only interior, but was pouring out of outside storage compartments, the mechanical auto leveling system & underbelly. This was a HUGE manufacturer flaw.

The entire unit is a liability based on the water damage, potential rot/mold caused by water damage, and potential damage to electrical, all caused by the flaw in production at Keystone. We immediately called Keystone and reported it. We told them we did NOT want this unit any longer as it was clearly made wrong and we would not be held responsible for this camper and all the

problems it could now have based on the total flooding that took

place, not to mention potential health hazards if mold begins to grow. They told us to get it to the service department at the lot

which we purchased it from, which we did, so they could have it

inspected.

Keystone Company and the lot agreed it was a

manufacturing mistake. They said they would do a repair. We

told them no, that we wanted either a full refund, replacement, or

full warranty to guarantee that in the future, if any problems arise

based on this, we would not be held liable for the cost of repairs;

this was their mistake. They told us no and are refusing to make any reparations for their mistake; reparations which we are willing to accept.

The camper was made wrong, and they are refusing to take any responsibility in correcting this problem.

What does Keystone do to right the wrongs to their customers. I want to tell myself they'll do the right thing here but no progress has been made.

Horrible Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Sep 23, 2022

UPDATE: After the below incident and calling every week, we FINALLY got our camper back on Aug 2nd for a camping trip they were well aware of on the 3rd!! They had my camper for 8 months. 8 months of fighting for a camper to be fixed that had only been taken out on 3...

Updated by user Jun 18, 2022

UPDATE: After sending formal letters to the higher ups of CW and Keystone, I received a call from CW stating that Keystone had now approved all repairs. CW informed me that they were ordering parts and would contact we when the parts came in. That was over a week ago...

Original review Jun 07, 2022
I bought my 2021 Coleman 337BH July 22, 2021. After taking it out for the first time on Aug 6th, we noticed the carpet of the dinette was wet.

I assumed it was from the coffee pot I stored under the bench, no biggie. Dried it out and all was well. Until I noticed my kitchen slide out seal was tearing and the paneling in the dinette area was pulling from the wall as well! Mind you...

this is the first trip out. We took it out another time and no problems. Than it happens, after the third and final time we take it out, we noticed the dinette carpet was soaking wet after a rain. That was in Oct.

We winterized it and contacted Camping World on Nov 2nd to tell them the issues. They told me to bring it in Dec 21st at the earliest. They made note of my issues and also told me to make a list. Here we are 6 months later, camping season upon us in Ohio and still no camper.

Keystone is denying the claim, stating that the leak was caused due to the need for slide adjustments. According to Keystone, those must be made within 90 days of purchase! Camping World of Akron, Ohio had been of no assistance either. I requested the work order from CW and to my surprise they stated that there were multiple leaks in the seams of the dinette slide out siding that need caulking at all vertical and horizontal seams.

Also started that a leak test was done on the dinette window and found the window seal needed replaced.
Now. I'm no genius but wouldn't that cause the dinette to get wet and in return cause swelling of the wood. Which could cause the slide to need adjusted. Keystone continues to deny my claim and now legal action is being taken.

We are also in contact with others who are filing lawsuits. I haven't had my camper a year! We camped 3 times in it, have had it in our possession 5 months, poured concrete, canceled trips, and are making payments on something we can't even use.

This camper has been in CW's possession longer than ours and we've lost 6 months of a warranty to a camper sitting in a run off lot in Akron with 2 dead batteries, backed into a hillside, continuing to aquire water damages!
I'm at my wits end! I own 2 businesses and would never trip customers like this!

POS 5th wheel

Less than one star...We just bought a 2022 Cougar 24rds 5th wheel from RVOne in Auburn Hills, Michigan in June. One issue after another including: a leak in the bedroom area and under bath sink, the shower stall walls are severely bowed and not attached to the wall, travel latches on fridge are broken and much of the facia on kitchen cabinets is peeling off . Really? This is a brand NEW unit! The dealer can't get us in until Thanksgiving with no guarantee it will be repaired by April. Run, not walk away from this brand and dealer.

So far since I purchased new in November 2021 my city water connection plunger has never worked. If you use fresh water & turn pump on it blows water out of city water inlet.

I put a cap on it. Also when you hook up to flush black tank it leaks.

City inlet broke recently, I installed a new one. Now the keytv multi source controller isn't working. I ordered another one & still nothing.

So I've bypassed it. $200 later!!! Can't use the TV in the bedroom or outside. But at least I can use the one in the living area.

Just spoke with the couple in the RV spot next to me.

They have a Keystone as well with the keytv multi source controller & it doesn't work. He has a cable line from the park pole threw his window to there main TV.

Can't wait to find out what is going to break or stop working next.

I will be selling this POS once I get back home & have everything fixed.

One more thing look at the sticker for the bypass. When I did the walk through with Blue Dog RV it was already winterized with antifreeze in the hot water tank. Found that out over the road.

Btw Blue Dog RV In Post Falls Idaho has a service department that won't call you back.

I know what your thinking, just take it in because its under warranty.

Yeah yeah I'm on the road traveling.

Long way from home right now. Just send me the parts I'll fix it my damn self.

Bad Camping World / Keystone service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Mr Lemonis,

Service, what service?

I bought this 2021 Raptor at Myrtle Beach Camping World in May of 2021. Took it camping a few times and all was well. Went camping in November 2021 in Myrtle Beach, over Thanksgiving, and the heat would not work. It was late Wednesday, day before Thanksgiving, so I could not get hold of Camping World until Friday. Me and my wife froze our *** off for 2 days. Called Camping World Friday morning and they said someone would come out by noon. Brandon Eggleston showed up around 6pm. He worked on it a few hours and said it was the temperature sensor. Said he would be back in the morning to replace. Did not show up, so around 10am I called and he said they did not have it in stock and would have to order. Said I could drop off at Service Dept that day, Saturday, and someone would be there to receive it, or next day being Sunday and no one would be there. We had already spent 3 days in the cold and did not want to spend another night in the cold. Also, I wanted to turn it in with someone there to receive it. Called at least 5 times before they said it was ready, 2 1/2 months later. Went down to pick it up and found that four of my stabilizing legs were leaking hydraulic fluid and 2 of my tires were low. I opted to leave there to get replaced, thinking it would be faster. I have the tire pressure monitors on my tires and the service tech said he knew how to take off. He then proceeded to turn wrong way and screwed valve out which caused leak in valve.

Talked to Service Manager, Michael Ranzino, at main store in Myrtle Beach and he said they would move it to the main store and take care of it sooner.. Again 2 1/2 months later my contact, Sam at service Dept called and said it was ready. I talked to her and asked her to ensure my tires had proper air. She assured they would. Went to pick up and sure enough tires were low. Its the same tire that the service tech screwed wrong way. So, assume the leak is in the valve.. Then went to raise my 5th wheel hook-up and batteries were dead. Camping World had left my power switches on for 5 months and had to jump to raise 5th wheel to hook-up. Have been trying to charge batteries since I got home and they will not charge. Think cells are bad. Will cost me a few hundred dollars to replace.

Also had to cancel 3 camp sites since it was in there for 5 months and that cost me more money. Also had one year Keystone Warranty and now lost 5 months worth. Have the extended warranty thru Camping World and will probably cancel, lost 5 months of that. Have been paying finance, extended warranty, and storage fees for something I did not have and could not use. Keystone and Camping World do not work together. Keystone has to approve warranty work and then Camping World has to order the parts, and then they have to fix. These repairs should have been automatic and it would have taken half the time or more.

So I am out: Batteries, still trying to charge probably $400.00 Cancelled camping trips $90.00 Keystone warranty 5 months worth Storage fees $200.00 Myrtle Beach extended warranty 5 months worth Tires cost to fix leak, UNK Time to fix what Camping World screwed I am expensive

Bottom line. Am totally dissatisfied with service and all personnel I dealt with. With exception of Tripp, the sales man I dealt with. He has tried to help me for the last 5 months. 9 out of 10 times I called I could not get hold of the person I was trying to call. I would call Tripp and he would ensure they called me back. If I was rating Camping World or Keystone, 1 thru 10, it would be a 0. At this point I would not recommend a Keystone product nor Camping World to anyone. Would tell them to find another Dealer and Manufacturer. Joseph W Miller Jr SGM, US Army Retired

2022 CAMPER

We purchased a 2022 Coleman/Dutchman camper last fall - NOT even a year ago (November 2022) !!!

Our A/C didn't work when we got it and the awning had *** in it (had to go to shop after figuring out warranty & ordering parts)

Other issues with manufacturing that had to be fixed including seam tape that was terrible and had to be re-done

Then my radio quit (however D. Scott from Keystone sent me a new one; unlike Camping World which wanted me to bring it in for a diagnostic, determine the problem [which I did via Good Sam Tech Support] then wait for it to be ordered). DeeDra Scott was wonderful!! we got the radio - switched it and sent bad one back.

But now my slide out leaks. What??!! I've owned 2 pop-ups (1 new and 1 used) and 2 travel trailers (both bought new in 1999 and 2015) - the 2015 was a hybrid. We NEVER had the problems we have with this 2022

My husband and I are so very angry!!! Our camper has been in the shop at Camping World more than we've been able to use it because of all this stuff happening. He wants to give the camper back.

How can we make this right??!!!

Preferred solution: I want a camper I can use to go camping. AT this point, my husband would probably prefer for them to purchase camper back at no loss to us (buy out loan)

User's recommendation: Buyer beware!! Campers are very shoddily made

I purchased a 2018 ****RLS Aspen trail camper in end of August 2019 camper is set up seasonally May 1- Nov 1 used it 3 months couldn't be happier it gets moved of site and cleaned up and covered for the winter. It stays in campground.

2020 set up no issues but of course COVID restrictions limited access barely got to use it.. 2021 back to normal August raining hard All week and get there and find the carpet in slide out soaked go buy new shop vac and fans clean up the mess and investigate and find leak in outside front corner of the slide out it's moldy under the dinette seat in corner rotting wood etc. Appears to have been leaking for a long time. It dried out next time it rains, I kept my eyes as it gets just a little damp in the corner but didn't soak the floor.the mold keeps returning and getting worse.d Dealership I purchased it from boat and RV liquidators in Hamburg, pa.

They are not in business anymore. Their service was bought by gander outdoors

Sales side by camping world RV tried to get service got the runaround for 3 months finally got camping world in Hanover pa to look at it in December and evaluate the leak has major mold damage rotting wood etc. Manufacturer is not accepting any responsibility l Only towed camper twice from the dealership to campground and campground to Hanover I'm very disappointed in the quality of the camper warranty is not the best 3-year structural warranty dealership found gap in side wall slowly leaking appears to have never been sealed I feel it is a defect from manufacturing .and how are you supposed to inspect sealant that wasn't there to begin with.

Keystone RV, Thor industries, Dutchman, I have contacted my insurance company have made them aware have also noticed the lawsuits about the slow leaks and mold rotting wood etc. This camper is probably going to be totaled by my insurance company
